TICKETING INFORMATION
Why do you charge a booking fee?
- This event is run by an events organisation who are not specialists in ticketing. The booking fee pays for the service from the ticketing company to provide the tickets and customer service.
Why is there a print charge when it's my own printer and ink?
- Ticketing is run by an external ticket agency. E-tickets are charged at £1.75 per transaction to cover the cost of sending staff to scan the event, as well as providing the scanners.
My friend bought an early bird and now it's much more expensive now?
- Can I buy one at the same price? Unfortunately not.
Where is the Box office?
- There will be a box office on site. It will be located at the main entrance to the event.
OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES
What time is the event open?
- The car park is open from 1pm and the event from 2pm. Music will start at 3pm, finish at 11pm and the bars close at midnight.
What are the set times?
- For full day events, these will be announced the day before the show.
Why do you not announce the set times weeks before?
- Set times are always subject to change due to a numerous array of variables.
AGE RESTRICTIONS & CHILD CARE
What are the age restrictions for this event?
- Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (18 or over) and be supervised. Children aged 5 and under do not require a ticket. We reserve the right to refuse entry without valid proof of age.
Am I allowed to bring a push chair?
WEATHER
The weather is looking glorious will I burn?
- Potentially, Please wear sun tan lotion.
I’m worried about dehydrating and do not want to spend money on water. Can I bring my own?
- Water is allowed but the seal will be checked. You may be asked to open it even if it’s sealed.
Why may you ask me to open the bottle if it’s sealed?
- Because bottles can be resealed.
Will the concert go ahead if it’s raining?
- Yes, but please come dressed appropriately!
Can I have my money back if it rains?
Can I bring an umbrella?
- Small handbag sized umbrellas are fine, large golfing style umbrellas are not, due to view restrictions.
Will it be muddy?
- The drainage at this show is very good. Mud is unlikely but possible in areas if the rain is heavy.
Ponchos - A poncho or water proof coat is the best option. If the rain is heavy we will have a limited amount of ponchos on sale.
FOOD & DRINK
Can I bring a picnic?
- You are welcome to consume your own food in the car park area but once you've entered the event, no outside food is permitted.
Why do other events allow picnics and you don't? Glastonbury, T in the park etc let me take a picnic in so why don’t you?
- It's not quite as straight-forward as you may think. First of all, IT IS TRUE - Not allowing picnics helps us to provide trade for concession traders. We need such traders to make this event work legally and financially.
- Without picnics entry time is much faster for security as thorough checks must be made for concealed items.
- Not allowing picnics reduces litter; this helps the environment.
How many food traders will there be?
- It’s dependent on the number of people. We add traders as we go. Usually 1 per 650 people. As I'm sure you can appreciate people eat at different times and we find this number is approximately correct.
What happens if everyone wants food at once?
- This wont happen, but there may be some queues. We will be as quick as we can.
Will there be gluten free options?
- There will always be chips!! :) different options will depend on the event. Please email hello@majorlabel.co.uk for more info.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
- No. All alcohol will be confiscated. Why? We need bar revenue to make the event work. Also see above regarding why other events may allow picnics and we don’t.
Can I bring Water?
- Yes as long as it’s sealed. However even then you may be asked to open it to check as sometimes people attempt to reseal the item.
Can I bring a Camel Pack?
- Yes, but security may need to check that it isn’t alcohol. This will have to be done by pouring some out and smelling the contents. It’s the only way! Sorry.
How much will Beer be?
- We try and be slightly under the average for events of this type. We find that most pints are around £5. Our house pint will be priced at £4.50.
TRANSPORT & PARKING
Can I buy car parking tickets?
- Yes, these will be available in advance from ticketline.co.uk for £5 FACE VALUE (plus booking fees). On the gate, car parking will be charged at £10.
Why is the car park not included in the ticket price?
- We could quite easily add money onto the ticket price to include parking but this wouldn’t be fair on the people getting dropped off. Parking fees are very common for events of this type and barely cover the costs incurred for traffic and parking management.
Where will taxis, my mum, my friend drop-off and collect me?
- From the drop off and pick up zone, accesed from Gate 7.
Is there a shuttle bus from the Showground?
- Yes details will be posted here soon. The fare will be £3 each way or £5 return.
Is there a shuttle bus to the Showground?
- Yes details will be posted here soon. We are hoping for 2 pick up and drop off points, up hill and down hill from Lincoln.
Why isn’t the bus free?
- It costs to provide a bus. If we included it in the ticket it wouldn’t be fair on the people not needing a bus.
But the bus goes in the wrong direction to my house…
- Sorry about this. We would suggest you get a taxi, a lift or drive.
For those who are travelling by car, please note that due to the nature of this event it will take time to get vehicles off-site quickly and safely. It is anticipated that this will take up to an hour following the event, depending on the volume of cars exiting the site at one time. Bars will remain open until 12am.
MOBILITY, SEATING AND DISABLED INFORMATION
Can I bring my own seating?
Why is there no seating available?
- This is a standing event. There will be some picnic benches and seating in the premium ticket but not to seat every single person.
