Play Expo

Manchester, EventCity, October 12th and 13th

The UK's most diverse video gaming expo is back!

It is just over four weeks until last year's sell out video gaming expo returns to Manchester. Taking place at the huge EventCity exhibition centre, the North's biggest video gaming show will have more features, exhibitors and video gaming mayhem than ever before. Jam packed full with everything you love about gaming, the show will feature four distinct areas with something for everyone...

NOW.PLAY At Play Expo 2013 we have joined forces with Gamer Network (formerly Eurogamer) to bring a wonderful array of the latest games and hardware to now.play. Come and see previews of upcoming games from publishers like Ubisoft, Namco and Nintendo. Experience Virtual Reality with the new Oculus Rift headset and try out heaps of hidden gems from independent developers in our indie zone.

RE.PLAY Featuring the most extensive and varied celebration of video games history ever seen in the UK, this year's re.play will have even more free-play arcade and pinball machines, retro consoles and classic computers.
Replay Ages
For fans of retro gaming there simply isn't a bigger, more comprehensive display of video gaming history than the Replay Ages area. Containing every conceivable console, computer or handheld, you can relive your youth and go back to the origins of the video gaming world.
Arcade & Pinball
Our arcade and pinball section will contain hundreds of your favourite coin-operated machines; all set to free-play so no need for pockets full of coins at Play Expo.
Replay LAN
This year we will be creating a PC LAN zone with around 100 machines featuring classic games from the FPS, Realtime Strategy and Driving genres. Favourites such as Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Command & Conquer and Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast are practically guaranteed, other titles will be confirmed closer to the event.

PRO.PLAY With an vast increase in the number of free to enter tournaments across both retro and modern systems, you can battle it out on games such as FIFA, Street Fighter, Mario Kart, Minecraft, Halo and many, many more.
Capcom Cup
The UK qualifier for the Super Street Fighter 4 Capcom Cup will be taking place on Saturday 12th October at Play Expo. The winner will be sent to the USA for the Capcom Cup Grand Finals!

COS.PLAY This is where some of the most dedicated, creative gamers congregate to don costumes and props in tribute to their favourite characters from the world of video games. Cos.play will feature a range of costume competitions, parades and skits for pros and beginners, groups and singles alike.
World Cosplay Summit
We are also proud to be hosting the UK heats of the World Cosplay Summit. Play Expo and the Hyper Japan cosplay team are working together to give one lucky pair of cosplayers the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip of a lifetime to the World Cosplay Summit in Japan.

STILL WANT MORE?
MERCHANDISE
We will be bringing you a greater variety of merchandise retailers this year - apparel, games, figures, artwork, arcade machines, anime, J-Culture and plenty more video game related items will be on sale.
